Refreshed pureocean Restaurant at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort on St. Maarten now features new furniture, modern décor and a completely revamped menu!

A culinary staple on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten has just reopened to the public. Divi Little Bay Beach Resort’s signature pureocean Restaurant, led by the resort’s new Executive Chef Octavio Verhelst, features a new, modern look with sleek furniture and décor, expanded indoor seating and completely revamped menus full of mouthwatering classics and tasty island favorites.

The restaurant offers the best of both worlds, with an air-conditioned indoor experience or fabulous al fresco dining on the outdoor terrace.

Open daily for breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., pureocean continues to offer its satisfying breakfast buffet ($18.95 pp for adults | $9.95 pp for kids 4-12) with an omelet station and plenty of fresh hot and cold dishes. Or guests can start their day with pureocean’s decedent à la carte menu featuring Double Chocolate French Toast, Passion Fruit Pancakes, Johnny Cakes and more!

Dinner (regular menu and theme nights) is served from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (closed on Tuesdays), and features a great selection of appetizers, pastas and specials to be enjoyed with a wonderful bottle of wine from the restaurant’s impeccable wine selection. Feast on Eggplant Rollantini, L’Escargot Burgundy, daily Risotto specials, Osso Buco and Pork Saltimbocca, and finish your dining experience with a traditional Tiramisu or Double Molten Chocolate Cake. This gourmet experience also includes stunning views of the azure sea and sensational St. Maarten sunsets.

Taking the helm of the restaurant is Curaçao native, Executive Chef Octavio Verhelst, the resort’s freshest face and newest addition to the food and beverage team, with more than 14 years of experience in the industry.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to become a culinary trendsetter on St. Maarten and help reclaim the island’s title as the ‘Culinary Capital of the Caribbean,” said Verhelst. “At pureocean, I want every guest to have a unique and memorable experience with each bite, so I’ve incorporated new elements into our menus to entice guests and satisfy the taste buds.”

In addition to completely refreshed menus, pureocean also offers theme nights throughout the week and festive holiday menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s, including offerings for groups and events.
